Have you ever got home from holiday and thought “that tour we had was good…but I can barely remember anything they told me!”? My aim is to give you stories you will go home and tell your friends and families about!

Since 2010 I have been entertaining audiences big and small all over Scotland (and Germany) as a historical reenactor. Whether it be as an Iron Age hunter, Roman soldier, medieval knight, or rebellious Jacobite, I have entertained and educated people on how the folk of the past lived and fought. All this experience in performance and storytelling, with a foundation of historical knowledge, is what I brought into my journey as a tour guide, starting in 2018. Since then, I have done tours up and down the country (even crossed the border a few times), but I am so passionate about my home town of Edinburgh, that I wanted to create a set of tours that highlighted its rich history and culture.

I’m not here to prep you for an exam. You don’t need to know the order of the King’s of Scotland. What I will show you is the stories, myths, battles and people that make Scotland, and Edinburgh, one of the most fascinating places on Earth.

It’s not all just ancient history though. I was born and raised in Edinburgh and I’m so proud of my city. I love sharing my culture with people, and learning about theirs. I believe tours should be a conversation, not a guide regurgitating information. Lets share a dram together and swap stories. While telling you the tales of the past, I will show you how us Scots live now.
